Samineh Baghcheban

Samineh Baghcheban is a children's and adolescents' author. She graduated with a master's degree in deaf education from Columbia University and continued her studies in speech therapy at the same university.

She was appointed by the Ministry of Education in 1961 to be responsible for organizing training and internship classes for first-grade teachers nationwide. She also prepared a teaching method book specifically for the Sepah-e Danesh , based on her father's method, which was used in Afghanistan and Tajikistan, thus making the Baghcheban method widespread. This book was prepared in collaboration with Leili Ahi.

After her father's death, she took responsibility for the Baghcheban School and later became the head of the Technical Management School for the Deaf community. In 1971, she became the CEO and head of the National Organization for the Welfare of the Deaf, and in 1966, she became the director of clinical affairs and the training course for audiometry specialists and the liaison for the deaf at the National University. Following the establishment of the Children's Book Council, she began her work there.

Her two books, "Wooden Polkas" and "Norouzs and Kites," are among the selected books of the Children's Book Council.
