Mehrangiz Dowlatshahi was an Iranian social activist and politician, who held significant positions, including ambassador of Iran to Denmark during the Pahlavi era. She also served as a member of the Majlis for three terms.

Dowlatshahi was an Iranian political and women's rights activist who worked at various organizations to advocate for women's rights and literacy programs. She established the Rah-e No society, which offered training for women and advocated for equal rights. She was elected as one of six female deputies in the Majlis in 1963 and served until 1975, significantly contributing to the passing and expansion of the family protection law. Dowlatshahi was the first woman ambassador of Iran to Denmark and served as the first minister of women affairs. Additionally, she was the director of the advisory committee on international affairs of the Women's Organization of Iran and president of the International Council of Women from 1973 to 1976.

In 2002, she published a book entitled Society, Government, and Iran’s Women’s Movement.
