Forugh azam Mesbahzadeh
Renowned Manager of Zan-e Rooz, Iran's leading women's magazine

Â
Forugh azam Mesbahzadeh was the director and owner of the high-circulation magazine "Woman of the Day" and also the daily international Kayhan (English Kayhan). The magazine "Woman of the Day" is among the most popular and, in fact, most successful publications in the history of Iranian journalism, recognized in the region as one of the leading women's specialty magazines.
One of the secrets of the success of the magazine "Woman of the Day" was that the number of male readers was not much less than the number of female readers of the publication. The family page of Kayhan newspaper was known among the employees of the institution and their families, especially the workers, as the charity page, and the editorial office of this page was also known as the "charity room." This was because Mrs. Forugh, in addition to overseeing the content of the family page, attended to the grievances of the visitors, resolved their problems, and provided various kinds of assistance to them.
Forugh azam Mesbahzadeh also managed and was a member of several charitable organizations , including the "Leprosy Patients Charity Organization" and the "International Women's Club."
