Iran Darroudi was an Iranian contemporary artist who was known for her surreal paintings that dealt with Iranian-themed imagery and strong lighting.

She was born on September 2, 1936, in Rasht, Iran, and grew up in Tehran.

She began her studies in painting at the Fine Arts Faculty of Tehran University in 1956 and later continued her studies at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1961.

Darroudi's art was deeply influenced by her Iranian heritage and cultural identity.

Her paintings often featured traditional Persian motifs and symbols, as well as images of everyday life in Iran. She was also known for her use of strong, dramatic lighting in her paintings, which added to the dreamlike and surreal quality of her work.
